The activity is held inside the Biosciences and Biotechnology Institute of Grenoble (BIG). A few bioinformaticians work in other labs of the institute, with scientific exchanges 1 to 3 times a year.
The Biology of Cancer and Infection Laboratory (BCI) is one of the five laboratories in BIG. It is composed mostly of experimental biologists.
The team, Invasion Mechanisms in Angiogenesis and Cancer (IMAC), is composed in November 2018 of six permanent researchers. Four colleagues are specialized in experimental biology focusing on physiological and pathological angiogenesis and cell communication with micro-environment. Two of us are bioinformaticians (working with post-doc, PhD and master students) with interest in systems biology, network based approaches and integration of omics data.
In Grenoble, we mainly interact with Florent Chatelain at Gipsa-lab (signal processing), the bioinformatics team in TIMC, and colleagues in IAB who find an interest in the methodological developments we propose. We have also interactions with other colleagues in Université Grenoble Alpes laboratories.
